National Annual Fund Leadership Council Urges Support

Several members of the National Annual Fund Leadership Council (NAFLC) gathered, or joined by conference call, for an update of the Annual Fund in the Grace Library Wherrett Board Room on April 21, 2008. The leaders discussed the status of the campaign and detailed plans to assure success of the 2008 Annual Fund campaign, which ends on June 30th.

Co-chair Barbara Capozzi Kirr (Scottsdale, AZ) urged all alumnae to consider making a gift every year to the Annual Fund. “Our loyalty and participation, at the level that reflects our sincere desire and capacity to make a difference in the life of our alma mater, truly matters to our capacity to grow and to compete.” Co-chair Carol Viner Smith (Rockville, MD), added, “I am proud to be a Mount Mercy/Carlow University aluma. I have seen first-hand how beautifully Carlow is evolving, thanks to the generosity of our alumnae/i. That is why I continue to give back to support the Mercy-inspired mission.”

The goal of the 2008 Annual Fund is $625,000. These unrestricted gifts are invested in operations where our needs are the greatest, including merit- and need-based student scholarships, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and campus infrastructure.
