An afternoon at the Carnegie...

Join Carlow at the Carnegie Museum of Art
Saturday, October 23, 2010

Each tour will be one hour in length. Tours will begin at a future designated time. Each person or family can choose one option.

Admission

  • Adults: $15
  • Seniors (65+): $12
  • Students with ID/Children ages 3–18: $11
  • Members and children under 3: Free

An additional Tour fee will be included:

  • $7.00 per child
  • $10.00 per adult

1. Looking at Art with your Children
Learn to share the wonder of an art museum with the children in your life. Docents provide tips and techniques for engaging children with works of art. After the tour continue your family experience by visiting ARTventures, where kid and adults explore art together using gallery searches and art-making materials.

2. Decorative Arts & Design at Carnegie Museum of Art ~ The Art of Daily Life
Explore Decorative arts and design on this Docent-led tour of newly renovates Ailsa Mellon Bruce Galleries. Reopened in November 2009, the Ailsa Mellon Bruce Galleries highlight more than 500 objects from the museum’s permanent collection of decorative arts and design.

3. Rothko, DeKooning, Pollock, Sherman, and more!
Discover the distinguished collection of contemporary art at Carnegie Museum of Art. Museum Docents will take you on a journey through the museum’s collection of modern and contemporary art. Discussion is welcome and encouraged!
