Carlow University Women's Choir

Carlow Women's Choir

Dear Carlow alumnae/i:

It is with great excitement that we extend to you the opportunity to join the fastest growing Carlow community organization. The Carlow University Women's Choir was formed last Spring, and already has had a tremendous success in singing for University events. As the enthusiasm for the Women's Choir builds, so does our membership. This year, the choir is accepting membership from the University Faculty, Staff, and now Alumni along with Students who can take the choir for academic credit.

The University Choir rehearses on most Monday evenings, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM in Kresge Theater in Grace Library.  This December, the Choir will sing the Benjamin Britten Ceremony of Carols for a Lessons and Carols Service to be held in St. Agnes Center on Carlow's Campus on December 7, 2009 at 7:30 PM.

Detailed scheduling information and notification of audition/voice placement dates can be obtained by contacting Dr. Brent Alexander, director at alexanderbj@carlow.edu or 412-215-9500. Auditions will consist of simply singing "America the Beautiful" in a low or high key. Please contact Dr. Alexander to schedule an appointment during the first week of September. Evening times are available.

Thank you, and we look forward to your participation in the Carlow University Women's Choir!
